The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Russian throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Demir working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
It looks like Fedor Russian has been cut.
Russian wants to get back to striking at distance but Demir won't allow it.
Demir lands an uppercut.
Russian tries to circle away but Demir has him pinned against the cage.
Russian pushes off an throws an elbow but Demir leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Russian is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Russian stalling in the clinch but Demir improves position.
A body shot lands from Demir.
Russian tries a body shot but Demir blocks it.
Demir has clasped his hands together around Russian's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Demir scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Russian to see if he's OK.
Russian stops Demir from passing to mount.
Demir lands a strong strike to the head of Russian. That's dazed him! Demir looking to finish here. Russian is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Demir lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
