Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Poncjusz Zabawka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rila Kuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuma has chosen Teach me how to Daugie as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Poncjusz Zabawka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rila Kuma! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuma lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Zabawka misses with a looping left. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kuma checks a leg kick. Zabawka scores with a jab. Kuma acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Kuma throws a leg kick but Zabawka checks it. Zabawka misses with a hook. Poncjusz Zabawka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zabawka shoots in looking for a takedown but Kuma manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zabawka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Zabawka throws a body kick the misses and Kuma counters with a flying knee. Nice. Kuma on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zabawka. Zabawka obviously looking to wear him down.
Kuma lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zabawka circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zabawka doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kuma counters with a one-two to the body. Zabawka throws a low kick, looking for Kuma's leg but Kuma calmly moves out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Zabawka. Kuma does a little dance to reset his feet. Zabawka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kuma avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Poncjusz Zabawka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kuma throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Rila Kuma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kuma looks to land a combination. Zabawka sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Zabawka swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kuma ducks under a wild hook from Zabawka. Kuma lands with a right hand. Kuma scores with a hook to the body. Zabawka takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Zabawka blocks a low kick nicely. Zabawka shoots and misses and Kuma counters with a left and a right that stings Zabawka. Zabawka misses with a takedown attempt - Kuma sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kuma lands a jab to Zabawka's midsection. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zabawka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kuma swivels and escapes.

Zabawka throws a leg kick which misses Kuma's front leg but catches the back leg as Kuma tries to avoid it. Zabawka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kuma just misses with a punch to the body.
Zabawka looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kuma tries to bum rush Zabawka with a series of wild strikes but Zabawka uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kuma works over Zabawka's head and body with a nice combination. Zabawka looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Zabawka scores a takedown into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zabawka misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Zabawka can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kuma is looking to escape. Kuma is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zabawka landing strikes from the mount and Kuma is in trouble! Zabawka connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Zabawka thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Poncjusz Zabawka dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Zabawka checks the leg kick. Zabawka thows a left - swing and a miss! Kuma with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Zabawka fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kuma looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A solid leg kick lands there for Kuma.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kuma. Zabawka does a little dance to reset his feet. Kuma leaves Zabawka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Zabawka swings away with a leg kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuma is looking to land body kicks. Kuma throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zabawka. Zabawka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kuma defends it nicely. Kuma fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zabawka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kuma makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Poncjusz Zabawka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zabawka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zabawka throws a leg kick and Kuma counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Nice takedown defense from Kuma. No joy for Zabawka on that attempt. Rila Kuma is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zabawka misses with a left hand and Kuma counters with a stiff right hand. Zabawka throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Kuma throws a nice looking combination but Zabawka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kuma lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zabawka circles away quickly and effectively. Zabawka lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A lazy body kick from Zabawka and Kuma counters with a two punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuma takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Kuma throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zabawka bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Kuma cracks the inside of Zabawka's front leg. Kuma on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

He's got his arms around Kuma's waist but Kuma gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zabawka off to one side. Kuma lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zabawka circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Rila Kuma will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Both fighters circling a little - Kuma finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Decent striking displayed by Kuma there. Zabawka misses with a wild body shot. Zabawka lands with a good body shot. A big right from Zabawka misses. Zabawka looks to score with a jab to the body but Kuma is just out of range. Zabawka is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kuma's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Kuma lands a nice looking body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Zabawka tests Kuma's chin there with a solid looking shot. Zabawka fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kuma to the ground. Zabawka is now in Kuma's guard. Zabawka throws a strike but Kuma rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kuma throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Zabawka looking to control but Kuma passes into half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zabawka on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuma lands strikes from half guard. Zabawka tries to get to full guard but Kuma has control of the leg. Kuma missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zabawka actively working from the bottom here. Zabawka manages to get to full guard.
Kuma looking to pass the guard. Kuma lands a couple of elbows. Kuma lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kuma got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zabawka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kuma has managed to get both his arms back between Zabawka's legs - danger averted. Zabawka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kuma doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kuma manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zabawka striking off his back but it's not causing Kuma any problems. Kuma postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Zabawka looking for subs off his back but Kuma has passed one foot through into half guard.
Kuma working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Zabawka tries to roll over but Kuma keeps him under control. Zabawka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Zabawka is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kuma's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kuma's back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zabawka is trying to stick to Kuma's back but Kuma is turning into Zabawka. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Zabawka's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kuma. Poncjusz Zabawka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Zabawka looking for a sweep. Not yet Zabawka, not yet. Zabawka looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Poncjusz Zabawka. I think Zabawka has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
