Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Svend Nyborg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Materla's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Do Gory Leb. Svend Nyborg will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyborg misses with a right hand
and Materla counters with a leg kick.
Materla moves out of range as Nyborg strikes.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Materla works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Nyborg is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Materla has hold of Nyborg's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nyborg manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Materla fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nyborg avoids it really well and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
