Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Krueger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Merkk Maloney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Merkk Maloney is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Krueger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Merkk Maloney! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maloney shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Krueger counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Krueger looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Maloney blocking the ground and pound attempt from Krueger. Krueger trying to control the pace. Maloney kicks off Krueger and gets to his feet. Maloney shoots in and drives through. Krueger sprawls well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maloney throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Krueger. Krueger has managed to clinch.
Krueger is trying to break the clinch but Maloney is controlling him. Maloney wants a takedown but no success here.
Peter Krueger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Merkk Maloney. Maloney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krueger throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Maloney was covering up waiting for the punch and Krueger finishes the takedown easily into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maloney can do anything to dispel that myth. Krueger passes into half guard. Krueger with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Krueger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maloney is trying to maintain the position but Krueger is very close to passing his half guard. Krueger content to control rather than advance. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Peter Krueger just wasn't active enough. Krueger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Krueger seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Maloney is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
