The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavo misses with a left hand
and Tony counters with a head kick.
Tony tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chavo swivels and escapes.
Tony throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chavo's waist but Chavo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tony off to one side.
Tony misses with a hook. Chavo ducked under it nicely.
Chavo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tony quickly recovers to half guard.
Chavo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Tony on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chavo postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Tony in real trouble here! The ref calls for Tony to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
