The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rocket has his foot on Ryda's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ryda works his way back into a safe position though.

Rocket doesn't manage to clinch there - Ryda circles away.
Ryda shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rocket sprawls well. Rocket wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ryda gets slowly back to his feet.
Ryda is breathing heavily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rocket is on top in guard.

Ryda closes the distance and clinches up with Rocket, looking for a takedown. Ryda pushes Rocket against the cage but Rocket circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rocket lands a right hook to the body.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ryda. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rocket connects with a stiff jab that staggers Ryda - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
