Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alan Pitbull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mikko Ruutu!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitbull shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ruutu counters with a two punch combo.
Ruutu has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pitbull finds it's way round the side to connect with Ruutu's head.
It looks like Mikko Ruutu has been cut.
Pitbull will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ruutu throws a sloppy head kick and Pitbull moves out of range easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pitbull tries for a takedown but Ruutu circles away easily
and Ruutu counters with a head kick that wobbles Pitbull - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Ruutu sends him down. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikko Ruutu!
