The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez has managed to clinch.

Hensball gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Hensball is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hensball tries to stand but Alvarez is controlling from the bottom.
Alvarez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hensball is one step ahead there.
Hensball postures up.
Alvarez looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Alvarez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Alvarez tries to break free but Hensball pushes him back against the cage.

Hensball manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Alvarez throws a strike but Hensball rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Alvarez doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hensball counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Alvarez is looking to take this one to the mat.
Hensball dodges an elbow strike from Alvarez.
Alvarez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hensball gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hensball manages to break the clinch.

and Hensball counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hensball comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Hensball counters with a nice low kick that buckles Alvarez's knee momentarily.
Alvarez is breathing heavily.

Hensball paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Alvarez is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alvarez seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hensball shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Alvarez is backing up but Hensball catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Alvarez covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hensball Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
