0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Didzis The Jesus! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Jesus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Stevenson keeping moving, preventing The Jesus from controlling successfully. The Jesus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stevenson is keeping the position for now. The Jesus with a flurry of punches that miss. The Jesus working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The Jesus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stevenson tries to sprawl out of it but The Jesus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stevenson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jake Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Jesus shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stevenson napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stevenson isn't going anywhere. The ground and pound from The Jesus seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Stevenson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by The Jesus.
The Jesus wants to control but Stevenson is keeping him busy. The Jesus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stevenson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The Jesus swings around for an armbar but Stevenson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into The Jesus's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Jesus not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The Jesus is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The Jesus keeping moving, preventing Stevenson from controlling successfully. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The Jesus throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Jesus can do anything to dispel that myth. The Jesus is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stevenson stops The Jesus from standing up. Stevenson is looking to stand up but The Jesus won't let him. Stevenson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The Jesus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stevenson postures up.
The Jesus is looking for a triangle here but Stevenson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The Jesus tries to bench press Stevenson off him but Stevenson keeps the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Didzis The Jesus dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
The Jesus has a takedown stuffed. Stevenson tries to close the distance and clinch but The Jesus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The Jesus scores a takedown into full mount! The Jesus controlling from mount. BOOM! The Jesus connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Stevenson is squirming around, avoiding The Jesus's attempts to control the action. The Jesus stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Jesus fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The Jesus tries to clinch there but Stevenson circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from The Jesus. Jake Stevenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Didzis The Jesus. Stevenson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Stevenson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Nice cross by Stevenson. The Jesus just misses with a punch to the body.

Stevenson keeps control of The Jesus as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. The Jesus has Stevenson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stevenson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The Jesus tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stevenson's elbow. Stevenson looking to slow down the pace here. The Jesus tries to pull guard but Stevenson forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The Jesus jumps guard but Stevenson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. The Jesus tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stevenson just stands there and leans against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stevenson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. That was a close second round but I would say that Jake Stevenson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
The Jesus shoots in for a takedown but Stevenson shows good takedown defense. Stevenson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as The Jesus backs up against the cage.
The Jesus swats away the attempt to clinch by Stevenson. The Jesus takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Stevenson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Stevenson lands with a shot to the body. The Jesus fails in his attempt to clinch. A head kick misses from The Jesus. Stevenson tries to clinch there but The Jesus circles away.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. The Jesus is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stevenson's half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The Jesus with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Jesus tries to stand and escape but Stevenson actually recovers to full guard. The Jesus trying to control the position from guard on top but Stevenson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Jesus is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Stevenson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The Jesus tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevenson is retaining full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Didzis The Jesus wasn't active enough on the ground. The Jesus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The Jesus misses with a head kick.
The Jesus wants to clinch up but Stevenson keeps it at a distance. The Jesus shoots in and gets a takedown into Stevenson's guard. The Jesus wanted to stand there but Stevenson had control of the position. The Jesus stands and throws Stevenson's legs to the side, diving into side control. The Jesus advances to mount. The Jesus wants to finish this one by submission but Stevenson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from The Jesus.

The Jesus tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Stevenson throwing hammer fists to the chest of The Jesus. What's that going to do exactly? The Jesus trying to control but he's not successful this time. The Jesus avoids the attempt from Stevenson to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Jesus controlling the pace for now. Stevenson tries to hold on but The Jesus pushes him away. The Jesus breaks from Stevenson's wrist control and lands an elbow. The Jesus lands a big elbow. The Jesus takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The Jesus lands with some strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Didzis The Jesus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think The Jesus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
