Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Ruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruger comes into the arena with Zoku by The Kodo Drummers blaring out of the sound system. Coleman has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Ruger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Coleman! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruger wants to clinch up but Coleman keeps it at a distance. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coleman. Coleman pushes Ruger up against the cage in a clinch. Coleman managing to block the knees to the body from Ruger.
Coleman has Ruger pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Coleman pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ruger tumbling to the mat - Coleman dives into Ruger's guard. Ruger manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coleman manages to get himself to full guard.
Ruger preventing the sweep. Ruger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Coleman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ruger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coleman is keeping the position for now. Ruger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ruger advances position into side control! Ruger is looking to take a break and control but Coleman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Coleman is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ruger's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruger trying to control the action but Coleman is working from the bottom. Ruger not landing any meaningful shots this time. Coleman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ruger. Coleman is trying to get back to full guard. Coleman has hold of Ruger's hands but Ruger slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Coleman is looking to improve his position.
Ruger looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Coleman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ruger passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Coleman! Ruger scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ruger lands with some strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ruger working the ground and pound effectively.
Coleman is working to get back to half guard.
Ruger is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Coleman can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Ruger is breathing heavily. Coleman slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Coleman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ruger missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ruger thows a huge punch but Coleman dodges it nicely.
Ruger could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Coleman is trying to get back to full guard. Coleman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Ruger is looking to clinch. Ruger is looking to clinch. Ruger tries to clinch up. Coleman keeps the fight on the outside. Coleman clinches up with Ruger and pushes him back against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Coleman fails to land. Coleman lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Coleman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ruger can't fight it off and eventually Coleman manages to take the fight to the floor. Ruger looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ruger controls Coleman momentarily but Coleman frees himself. Ruger avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Coleman advances position into side control! Ruger wants to control but Coleman postures up. Ruger gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Ruger works his way to full guard. Good work. Coleman trying to control but Ruger is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ruger is on top in guard.
Coleman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ruger wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving. Coleman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that William Ruger will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Coleman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Coleman is looking to clinch. Coleman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Coleman works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Coleman won't allow Ruger to sweep him here. Ruger looking for a guillotine here but Coleman defends easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Coleman keeping full guard, as Ruger tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruger trying to control the position from guard on top but Coleman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Coleman looking for a sweep. Not yet Coleman, not yet. Coleman trying to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Coleman lands with a kick to the ribs.
Coleman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ruger trying to control but Coleman postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ruger does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ruger moves into full guard.
Ruger keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully. Ruger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Coleman is looking for a sweep. Ruger is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ruger throwing shots but Coleman is blocking nicely. Coleman wants to control but Ruger is keeping busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Coleman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Coleman tries for a takedown but Ruger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ruger scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Coleman is looking to control Ruger's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Coleman avoid being mounted? Ruger prevents Coleman from improving his position. Ruger passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Coleman! Coleman tries to hold on but Ruger postures up. Ruger landing strikes from the mount and Coleman is in trouble! Coleman is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruger lands a big elbow. A nice elbow there by Ruger. Ruger looking to finish Coleman with some ground and pound. This is bad for Coleman! The referee warns Coleman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Ruger lands a big shot there that rocks Coleman but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Ruger throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Coleman is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Coleman is in a horrible position here. Ruger smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Coleman throwing hammer fists to the chest of Ruger. What's that going to do exactly? Ruger lands with some strikes. Coleman working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
William Ruger dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Ruger shoots in and bounces Coleman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Coleman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Coleman lands a nice shot to the head. Ruger regains half guard. Coleman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ruger avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coleman. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Coleman thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Ruger to regain full guard. Ruger trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Coleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruger swivels though and keeps the full guard. Coleman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruger keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully. Ruger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ruger pushes Coleman up against the cage in a clinch. Coleman lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Ruger looking for a takedown. Coleman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ruger gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Ruger landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Ruger throws an elbow but it misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Coleman digs a right hand underneath Ruger's ribcage. Ruger let out a lung full of air as it connected. Ruger with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Coleman is looking to break free of the clinch but Ruger has double underhooks. Coleman digs a right hand into Ruger's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ruger's gas tank. Coleman goes for a takedown attempt but Ruger pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Coleman misses with a takedown attempt and Ruger counters into the clinch. Nicely done. William Ruger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Coleman. Coleman misses with a hook from the clinch. Coleman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Coleman manages to end up in side control. Ruger is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Coleman off and has taken his back! Coleman trying to control the hands but Ruger won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman is trapped and Ruger is scoring with shots to the head and body. Ruger lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Coleman.
Coleman staying busy and making it hard for Ruger to control. Ruger punishes Coleman with strikes from the back mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Coleman is in bad spot here.
Ruger has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Coleman is in real trouble here. Ruger gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Coleman is tapping out! Ruger wins by rear naked choke!
