Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Mega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mega has chosen Black and Yellow as his entrance music. Max Mega has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mega slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mega punishes Smith's body with a nice straight punch.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mega swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Smith looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mega works over Smith's head and body with a nice combination.
Smith darts in and clinches Mega up against the cage.
Smith is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mega to keep the fight standing.
Mega is trying to break free.
Smith lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Nice uppercut lands for Mega. That snapped Smith's head back.
Smith shoots in and drives through. Mega sprawls well.
Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mega pushes Smith off and scrambles back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mega's waist but Mega gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.

Mega jabs Smith right on the nose. Smith blinks but takes it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Smith is looking to control Mega's arms but Mega gets an underhook and turns him. Now Smith has his back to the cage.

Smith has Mega pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mega manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mega looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well.
Smith tries for a takedown but Mega sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mega sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.

Smith misses with a hook to the ribs.
A frustrated look appears on Mega's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Smith has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mega uses from the top position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mega is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Smith is just riding it out for now. Mega eventually gives up the hold.

Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mega is working away from the top position though.

Mega is trying to control the action in half guard but Smith is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Smith has hold of Mega's hands but Mega slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mega wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working.
Mega might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Smith kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Mega is nestled in close to Smith, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Smith is rocked!
Mega is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Smith is hurt! He's hurt bad - Mega fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Smith from any more punishment! Congratulations to Mega! Great finish!
