Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derick Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanislov Kryuchkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I am The Law. Kryuchkov has chosen Gorky Park - Bang as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kryuchkov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Smith gets a clinch.
Kryuchkov is looking for a takedown.
Smith lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kryuchkov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Smith after a bit of a struggle.
Kryuchkov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Smith fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Derick Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stanislov Kryuchkov.
Kryuchkov wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side
and Smith counters with a thumping low kick.
Smith misses with a hook. Kryuchkov ducked under it nicely.
Smith lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Smith is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Smith jabs Kryuchkov to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Smith lands a right hook to the body.
Kryuchkov avoids a punch combination nicely.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
Smith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Smith misses with a body punch.

Smith lands an elbow that stopped Kryuchkov in his tracks for a moment.

Smith lands a good knee to the midsection. Kryuchkov won't want to take too many of those.

Smith is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kryuchkov.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith scores with a sloppy right hand. Kryuchkov should have avoided that one.
Kryuchkov moves forwards but Smith connects with a nice, crisp jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Derick Smith dominated that round.

Smith drops Kryuchkov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kryuchkov looks back up at him and smiles so Smith waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kryuchkov fails with the takedown
and Smith counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Smith lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kryuchkov takes a step back to recover.
Smith scores with a decent looking hook.
Kryuchkov with a poor takedown

Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kryuchkov is breathing heavily.
Smith feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kryuchkov sprawling to the canvas! Kryuchkov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Smith finish him?!
Kryuchkov is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith drops Kryuchkov with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Kryuchkov! Smith dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derick Smith!
