Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Mcpherson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iron Van Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Mcpherson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Mcpherson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Iron Van Damn! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcpherson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Van Damn defends it nicely. Nice takedown defense from Mcpherson. No joy for Van Damn on that attempt. Mcpherson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Van Damn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Van Damn is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Mcpherson lands a few punches from side control. Mcpherson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Van Damn throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Van Damn struggling a bit here. Van Damn tries to escape but Mcpherson is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcpherson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mcpherson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mcpherson working the strikes but Van Damn uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Mcpherson is pressing down on Van Damn's thigh, looking to free his foot. Van Damn is holding on for now. Van Damn works his way to full guard. Good work. Mcpherson wants to control from the top but Van Damn keeps moving. Mcpherson with a flurry of punches that miss. Mcpherson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Van Damn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mcpherson, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcpherson keeping moving, preventing Van Damn from controlling successfully. Van Damn throwing strikes but missing. Van Damn wants to control from the top but Mcpherson keeps moving. Van Damn controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mcpherson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Damn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Iron Van Damn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Van Damn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mcpherson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Van Damn defends it nicely. Mcpherson is breathing heavily. Nice sprawl there from Mcpherson as Van Damn shoots in. Mcpherson throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcpherson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Van Damn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nice sprawl there from Mcpherson as Van Damn shoots in. Thomas Mcpherson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iron Van Damn. Van Damn closes the distance and clinches. Mcpherson is working for takedown but Van Damn is calmly controlling the position for now. Mcpherson effectively controlling the action here. Van Damn lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mcpherson tries to pull guard but Van Damn holds him up against the cage and eventually Mcpherson drops back down to his feet.
Mcpherson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Mcpherson will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mcpherson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Van Damn did well to prevent Mcpherson getting side control. Van Damn actively working from the bottom here. Mcpherson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Van Damn is trying to stand up here but Mcpherson is controlling him well. Mcpherson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mcpherson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Van Damn keeps working. Van Damn wants to get back to his feet. Van Damn is breathing heavily. Van Damn tries to kick Mcpherson off in order to stand up. Mcpherson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Van Damn is not content to let Mcpherson control the position. Van Damn is trying to control Mcpherson's posture but Mcpherson avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcpherson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Van Damn has escaped the position, nice work there. Van Damn takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Mcpherson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Mcpherson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Van Damn's half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Van Damn looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van Damn tries to kick Mcpherson off but Mcpherson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mcpherson lands a nice short elbow. Well, if Mcpherson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mcpherson cracks Van Damn with a solid left hand. Mcpherson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Van Damn pushes Mcpherson up against the cage in a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Van Damn tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mcpherson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Van Damn is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mcpherson scores with a takedown into Van Damn's guard. Van Damn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcpherson defends well. Mcpherson is looking to advance position but Van Damn won't allow it.

Van Damn is staying active underneath Mcpherson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mcpherson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Van Damn sees it coming and defends easily. Van Damn looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcpherson looking for the choke but no joy. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mcpherson has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Van Damn. Mcpherson scores with punches from the back.
Mcpherson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Van Damn has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Van Damn tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Mcpherson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mcpherson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
