Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Kreg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vald Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreg comes into the arena with Silence blaring out of the sound system. Vald Kersikov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Kreg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vald Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kreg tries for a takedown but Kersikov circles away easily and Kersikov counters with a nice uppercut. Kreg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kersikov defends it nicely. Kreg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kreg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kreg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kersikov has hold of Kreg's hands but Kreg slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kreg passes the guard and advances to mount! Kreg with shots to the head and body - Kersikov looks very uncomfortable down there. Kreg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kreg breaks from Kersikov's wrist control and lands an elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! Kreg postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kersikov looks a forlorn figure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kreg controlling his opponent. Kreg scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kersikov?
Kreg prevents Kersikov from getting the reversal. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kersikov can do anything to dispel that myth. Kreg landing strikes, looking to finish! Kreg looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Kersikov is squirming around, avoiding Kreg's attempts to control the action. A nice elbow there by Kreg. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kreg raining down hammerfists from mount. Kersikov is in a horrible position here. Kreg smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Kersikov is rocked! Kreg has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kersikov's face.
Kersikov is still in real trouble! Can Kreg finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kreg looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Kersikov covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeff Kreg! After the fight, Jeff Kreg was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
