Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roderigo Hermes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chersen Lebeng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lebeng sprawls well initially but Hermes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hermes wants to pass the guard but Lebeng is defending well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hermes in particular looking to stall.
Hermes is working for a submission of some sort.
Hermes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Roderigo Hermes wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Lebeng counters with a head kick. That will keep Hermes thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Roderigo Hermes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chersen Lebeng.
Hermes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lebeng was covering up waiting for the punch and Hermes finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Roderigo Hermes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lebeng tries to roll over but Hermes keeps him under control.
Hermes thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lebeng's head.
Hermes perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hermes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lebeng to the mat! Lebeng manages to get full guard.

Hermes goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lebeng has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hermes but great work by Lebeng.
