Markakis looks to land a left hand but Villa moved out of range nicely.
Villa lands with a nice body punch.
Nice uppercut lands for Villa. That snapped Markakis's head back.
Markakis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Villa dips to his left and cracks Markakis with an uppercut!
Markakis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Villa tries to avoid it but Markakis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Villa to the ground. Villa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It looks like Dennis Markakis has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Markakis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Markakis wants to clinch but Villa slips to the side
and Villa scores with a counter punch that sends Markakis to the canvas! Villa smells blood - he's punishing Markakis with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Markakis has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
