Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Hedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Callahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Magnus Hedman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harry Callahan!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Callahan throws a series of punches but Hedman moves out of range.
Callahan throws a body kick that misses.
Hedman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hedman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hedman.
Callahan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hedman swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Callahan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Callahan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

and Hedman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Callahan's guard now.

Callahan wriggles free and stands up.
Callahan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hedman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Callahan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Callahan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hedman eats them both and turns towards Callahan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Horrible takedown by Callahan or perhaps it was just good defense by Hedman which made him look bad.

Callahan lands a head kick. Hedman smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Callahan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Callahan wants it to stay on the feet.

Callahan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hedman's half guard.

Callahan is pushing Hedman's head away, looking to escape. Hedman manages to hold on to the position though.
Callahan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hedman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Magnus Hedman will probably get the nod.

Callahan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hedman to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Callahan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hedman pulls down on the head and he's put Callahan to sleep! This one is all over!
