The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dowal closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away.
King lands a head kick. Dowal smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
King misses with a kick to the body.
King is looking to clinch but Dowal is avoiding it.
Dowal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dowal stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from King.
Steve Dowal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King scores with a kick to the midsection.
King fakes the leg kick and cracks Dowal in the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dowal avoids the head kick by King.
Whack! King lands a heavy head kick that drops Dowal. The ref tackles King to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Dowal was done.
