Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocko Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Rubber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocko Rod has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jean Rubber!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubber throws a nice looking combination but Rod bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rubber throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rod is defended easily by Rubber.
Rod shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rubber but Rubber pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rod forces Rubber back against the cage and clinches.
Rubber is pressed up against the cage. Rod has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rubber down to the mat. Rubber avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocko Rod. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rubber lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rubber.
Rod will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rubber drops Rod with a left right combo! Rubber follows him down to the ground into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rod is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rod fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rubber sprawls well initially but Rod persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rubber throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rubber displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rod throws out the jab.
Rod moves in looking to clinch but Rubber pushes him off.

Rod tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rubber sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rod somewhat.

Rod shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Rubber is trying to drag Rod to the mat but Rod just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Rubber is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rod can't fight it off and eventually Rubber manages to take the fight to the floor. Rod looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rod will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Rubber wants to get up but he can't break Rod's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rubber gets to his feet. Rod looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Rod feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rocko Rod has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jean Rubber is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rocko Rod.
I think Rubber has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
