The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald closes the distance and pushes Erikson back into the cage.
Erikson swings wildly with an uppercut but McDonald uses good head movement to avoid it.
A nice right hand lands inside from Erikson.
McDonald fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
McDonald blocks an uppercut.
McDonald misses with a shot to the kidneys.
McDonald tries to throw a body punch but Erikson avoids it by throwing McDonald back against the cage.
Erikson can't find room to land a body shot as McDonald controls the action.
McDonald tries to work over Erikson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Erikson blocks an uppercut.
Erikson prevents a body shot from McDonald.

McDonald lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by McDonald.
McDonald lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Erikson.

Erikson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McDonalds head.
McDonald goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

McDonald lands a left hand that snaps the head of Erikson backwards.

Erikson is trying to maintain a safe position but McDonald gets an underhook and turns Erikson into the cage.
A head punch on the inside from McDonald fails to land.
Erikson tries to pull guard but McDonald forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
McDonald lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
McDonald lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Erikson backwards.
McDonald breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McDonald scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Erikson is breathing heavily.
Erikson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McDonald was well out of range. Poor timing from Erikson.
Erikson throws a body punch but McDonald moves out of range.
McDonald fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Erikson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Erikson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
McDonald looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A solid leg kick lands there for McDonald.

McDonald scores with a decent looking hook.

McDonald ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

McDonald connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Erikson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
McDonald has closed the distance and engaged Erikson in a clinch.
McDonald throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Eriksons head.
Erikson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
McDonald lands a left hand.
Erikson is rocked!
Erikson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Oh Erikson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Erikson misses with a punch to the body.
A short right hand to the side of the head by McDonald.
McDonald creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Erikson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Erikson drops to his knees and McDonald pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
