Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Sydney Bussel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Smirnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Sydney Bussel!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Smirnov!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Bussel there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Smirnov moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Bussel keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Bussel fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bussel goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bussel has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Smirnov.
Bussel tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Smirnov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Smirnov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bussel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bussel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Bussel wants to clinch.
Smirnov throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bussel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smirnov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bussel connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Smirnov lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bussel will feel that in the morning.
Smirnov checks a low kick from Bussel.
Smirnov throws a low kick but Bussel avoids it.
Smirnov throws a half hearted mid kick.

Bussel moves out of range of the body kick.
Smirnov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bussel, pushing him back against the ropes.

Bussel looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Bussel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bussel looks low and kicks high, catching Smirnov right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!
It looks like Alexander Smirnov has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom! Bussel lands a massive head kick that sends Smirnov crashing into the ropes, followed by a classic face plant on the canvas! He's up to his knees but he's not going to beat the count - this one is all over! Bussel is jumping around like a lunatic, extatic with the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Sydney Bussel!
