PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tristan Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tyson Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that tyson Griffin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Griffin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Griffin is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Griffin connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple.

Griffin is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Griffin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Griffin has an Americana. Johnson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Griffin is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Griffin hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
