Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Beon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dura Faeg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Beon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dura Faeg! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faeg fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Faeg dives in and grabs Beon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beon pushes down on Faeg's head and hops out. Beon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Faeg tries to clinch but Beon is having none of it. Beon throws a front kick that sends Faeg stumbling back into the cage. Faeg throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Beon to counter with a crisp jab. No luck for Beon with that takedown attempt. Beon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Faeg swats him away and circles back towards the center. Faeg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Faeg somewhat. John Beon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dura Faeg. Beon connects with a body shot. Beon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Beon wants it to stay on the feet. Faeg stuffs the takedown attempt from Beon. Beon gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faeg fails to land the takedown. Beon stalks Faeg and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Faeg's face. Faeg staggers backwards, shaken. Faeg throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. No luck for Faeg with that takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Beon. No joy for Faeg on that attempt. Faeg is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Beon. Beon rushes Faeg and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Beon drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Beon trying to keep a closed guard but Faeg is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Faeg slips nicely into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Faeg is looking for a kimura but Beon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Faeg to get the leverage. Beon wants to control but Faeg is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Faeg is controlling the pace.

Beon is refusing to be controlled, as Faeg sits in half guard. Faeg looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Faeg sitting and controlling from the half guard. Faeg throwing shots but Beon is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Faeg in particular looking to stall. Faeg's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Dura Faeg has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. No joy there for Faeg, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Beon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Beon moves into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Faeg's face as he tries to break the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Beon tries for a takedown but Faeg manages to get underhooks.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Beon will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Beon scores with a one two! Faeg had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Nice sprawl there from Faeg as Beon shoots in. No luck for Beon with that takedown attempt. Beon looks to land a combination. Faeg sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Faeg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beon pinned against the cage. Beon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Faeg is looking to clinch but Beon is avoiding it.

Beon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Faeg's efforts to push away. Faeg tries to circle away but Beon has him pinned against the cage. Beon is looking to control Faeg's arms but Faeg gets an underhook and turns him. Now Beon has his back to the cage. Faeg trying to land knees to the body.
Faeg wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Faeg tries to pull guard but Beon forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Beon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Faeg has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Beon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faeg has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Beon after a bit of a struggle. Beon makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Beon has Faeg pushed against the cage. Beon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Faeg fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Beon swats away the attempt to clinch by Faeg. Faeg looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Beon is fending him off so far but Faeg persists. Nope, Beon circles away and we're back to standing. Faeg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Beon moves in looking to clinch but Faeg pushes him off. Faeg has a takedown stuffed. A head kick misses from Faeg. Faeg is breathing heavily. Beon clinches. Beon breaks the clinch.
Faeg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beon's waist but Beon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Faeg off to one side. Beon scoring well with a low kick there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beon closes the distance and clinches up with Faeg, looking for a takedown. Beon pushes Faeg against the cage but Faeg circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Faeg misses with a takedown attempt - Beon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nice takedown defense from Faeg. No joy for Beon on that attempt. That was a close second round but I would say that John Beon will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Faeg tries to kick Beon off but Beon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Beon works his way into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Faeg is trying to control Beon's posture but Beon avoids it. Beon trying to control the position but Faeg is working away. Faeg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Beon is trying to get an arm triangle but Faeg is defending well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Faeg is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faeg wants to control but Beon postures up. A control attempt from Faeg but he's now mounted! Faeg is just holding on here. Beon manages to take his back.

Faeg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Beon keeping full guard, as Faeg tries to pass. Faeg is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Faeg controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
