Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bart Simpson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Panow!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panow fails with the takedown
and Simpson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Anton Panow has been cut.
Panow shoots in and drives through. Simpson sprawls well.
Panow moves forwards but Simpson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Panow tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Simpson's corner calls for a 1-2. Simpson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simpson connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Panow covering up! Simpson comes in with a big uppercut and Panow goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bart Simpson!
Bart Simpson gave a mention to Hilo Nutrition Laundry 95 % in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
