Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mayo Kermode! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kermode wants to clinch up but Nelson keeps it at a distance. Brian Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson lands a jab to Kermode's midsection. Kermode tries to clinch but Nelson moves out of range. Nelson misses with a lunging right hand
and Kermode counters by moving into the clinch. Nelson takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Brian Nelson has been cut. Kermode lands a hook that snaps the head of Nelson backwards. Kermode is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Nelson trying to land knees to the body.
Kermode connects with a nasty looking knee right to Nelson's face.
Nelson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kermode fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kermode tries to clinch up but Nelson circles away and keeps his distance. Nelson tries to land a body kick and Kermode counters by moving into the clinch. Kermode unloads a knee to the mid-section. Nelson is breathing heavily. Nelson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kermode has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Brian Nelson's cut is getting worse. Kermode comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Nelson is rocked! Kermode has Nelson pressed against the cage.
Oh Nelson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kermode with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Nelson seems to have got his legs back now. Kermode lands an elbow that stopped Nelson in his tracks for a moment.
Jeez, Brian Nelson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Kermode connects with a nasty looking knee right to Nelson's face.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brian Nelson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mayo Kermode! Mayo Kermode seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
