Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ari Sybert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Gilstrap! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sybert jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sybert avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gilstrap wants to slow Sybert down by chopping away at his legs. Gilstrap misses with a body shot.
Gilstrap misses with a combination
letting Sybert counter with a right hand. Sybert misses with a hook. Gilstrap misses with a wild body shot. Gilstrap lands with an uppercut that bounces Sybert off the cage and back into range. Sybert tried to score with a low kick but Gilstrap checks it. A swing and a miss from Gilstrap. Sybert scores with a jab. Gilstrap forces Sybert back against the cage and clinches. Gilstrap goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gilstrap lands an elbow inside that Sybert shrugs off.

Sybert with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Gilstrap tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A short left from Sybert. Gilstrap on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Sybert's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Sybert working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Gilstrap tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sybert avoids it. Sybert tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Gilstrap lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Sybert manages to break the clinch.
Sybert throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sybert stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gilstrap. Sybert swings widly with a right hand
and Gilstrap counters with a right hand to the body. Gilstrap doesn't manage to clinch there - Sybert circles away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sybert misses with a straight left. Sybert misses with a head kick.
The fighters circling - Gilstrap throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Sybert throws a body punch but Gilstrap moves out of range. Sybert throws out a leg kick but Gilstrap moves out of range and Sybert only half commits. Sybert misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gilstrap looks to score with a jab to the body but Sybert is just out of range. Sybert tries to land a front kick but Gilstrap steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Gilstrap doesn't manage to clinch there - Sybert circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sybert misses with a left hand letting Gilstrap counter with a right hand. Sybert on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Gilstrap tries to clinch but Sybert is having none of it. Gilstrap shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sybert eats them both and turns towards Gilstrap to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Sybert misses with a leg kick and Gilstrap counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sybert's knee momentarily. Sybert lands a head kick. Gilstrap smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Sybert misses with a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sybert missing with a left hand there. Gilstrap was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gilstrap wants to clinch but Sybert slips to the side and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Sybert throws a hook but Gilstrap blocks it. Sybert thuds his right hand into Gilstrap's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gilstrap lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Sybert lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gilstrap circles away quickly and effectively. Jab from Gilstrap. Gilstrap throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Sybert to counter with a crisp jab. Sybert throws a head kick but Gilstrap moves out of range.

Sybert throws a low kick, looking for Gilstrap's leg but Gilstrap calmly moves out of range. Gilstrap tries to clinch there but Sybert circles away.
Gilstrap wants to clinch up but Sybert keeps it at a distance. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gilstrap tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sybert was well out of range. Poor timing from Gilstrap. Gilstrap dips to his left and cracks Sybert with an uppercut! Sybert connects with a body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chris Gilstrap will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sybert misses the jab. Gilstrap moves out of range as Sybert strikes. Gilstrap throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gilstrap connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Gilstrap goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Good work by Gilstrap as he checks the leg kick. Gilstrap throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Gilstrap just misses with a punch to the body.
Sybert connects with an inside leg kick. Sybert swings widly with a right hand
and Gilstrap moves into the clinch. Gilstrap lands an elbow inside. Gilstrap comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sybert prevents a body shot from Gilstrap. Sybert lands with a short head shot on the inside. Sybert working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Gilstrap letting Sybert take a breather here. Gilstrap trying to land knees to the body.
Gilstrap is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Sybert tries to break the clinch but Gilstrap is controlling the position. Sybert missing with knees to the body.
Sybert breaks the clinch.
Oooooh!!! Sybert has knocked Gilstrap down with a huge combo! Sybert steps away and waves a wobbly Gilstrap back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Gilstrap is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Sybert darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Gilstrap's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Sybert before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ari Sybert! Ari Sybert seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
