Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Klingbeil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klingbeil comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Step To The Floor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kurt Klingbeil was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shaun Strange! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kurt Klingbeil! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strange moves into the clinch successfully.
Klingbeil jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strange walks away with a smile on his face. Klingbeil gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sloppy strikes from Klingbeil. Those never looked like landing. Strange looking to score a takedown here. Klingbeil is defending well but Strange drives through and ends up in Klingbeil's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Klingbeil is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Strange has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Klingbeil tries to land a sweep but no joy. Klingbeil looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Strange advances to half guard. Klingbeil wants to control but Strange is keeping busy.
Klingbeil is staying active underneath Strange, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Klingbeil looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Strange trying to pass the guard but Klingbeil defending well. Klingbeil wants to control but Strange passes into side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klingbeil is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Strange staying calm. Klingbeil is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Strange's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Klingbeil is looking to control Strange's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Klingbeil avoid being mounted? Klingbeil is trying to get back to full guard. Strange sitting and controlling from the half guard. Klingbeil is looking for a sweep. Strange is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strange is thwarting Klingbeil's attempts to control the position. Strange is keen to just control but Klingbeil is a slippery customer. Strange knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Klingbeil on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Shaun Strange just wasn't active enough. Strange shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Strange is trying to work for a kimura but Klingbeil is defending well.
Klingbeil is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Klingbeil manages to regain full guard. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Strange wants to control from the top but Klingbeil keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klingbeil wants to control the position but Strange says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Klingbeil moves into full guard.

Strange stopping the sweep attempt from Klingbeil. Klingbeil is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Strange trying to control the position from guard on top but Klingbeil is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Klingbeil closes the distance and clinches. Strange tries to land knees in the clinch but Klingbeil avoids the damage to the body. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Strange takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Strange gets underhooks to prevent Klingbeil's takedown attempt.
Klingbeil tries to score a body lock takedown but Strange shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Shaun Strange has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Klingbeil. Strange breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Klingbeil fails in his attempt to clinch. Strange circles away from the clinch attempt and Strange decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Klingbeil's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strange wants to stand but Klingbeil has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shaun Strange dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Strange lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Strange takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Strange not doing much here.
Klingbeil is trying to maintain the position but Strange is very close to passing his half guard. Strange wants to stand up but Klingbeil is controlling the position.
Strange seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Klingbeil does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Klingbeil is looking for a sweep. Strange is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Klingbeil is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Shaun Strange wasn't doing enough on the ground. Klingbeil darts in and clinches Strange up against the cage. Strange wants the takedown. Klingbeil is fighting it off but Strange persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Klingbeil's guard against the cage. Klingbeil throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Klingbeil is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Klingbeil manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Strange manages to get himself to full guard.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Strange tries to get out of the position. Klingbeil throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Klingbeil is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Strange knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Klingbeil tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Strange is looking to regain half guard here but Klingbeil keeps moving and retains side control. Klingbeil wants to control but Strange is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klingbeil passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Strange! Klingbeil goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Strange is on top in guard.
Strange wants to control from the top but Klingbeil keeps moving. Strange postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Strange got a little sloppy there for a moment and Klingbeil has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Strange has managed to get both his arms back between Klingbeil's legs - danger averted. Strange avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Klingbeil is breathing heavily. Strange is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Klingbeil throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Strange landing with the ground and pound. Klingbeil manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Klingbeil is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Strange to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Strange shrugs it off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strange tries to hold on but Klingbeil postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kurt Klingbeil will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Klingbeil slips under a jab from Strange. Klingbeil wants to clinch. Strange dives in and scores a takedown into Klingbeil's guard. Klingbeil controls Strange momentarily but Strange frees himself. Strange is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Klingbeil has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Strange is looking to defend but Klingbeil has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Strange! Klingbeil pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Strange taps out and this one is all over!
