Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Lyotard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bibiano Fernandes!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandes looks for a takedown but Lyotard sprawls well.
A punch combination from Fernandes misses.
Fernandes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lyotard.
Fernandes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lyotard tries to avoid it but Fernandes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lyotard to the ground. Lyotard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fernandes drives through with a takedown into Lyotard's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fernandes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lyotard on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lyotard tries to get out of the position.
Fernandes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lyotard looking to control.
Fernandes slips nicely into half guard.

Lyotard is trying to stand.
Fernandes is thwarting Lyotard's attempts to control the position.
Lyotard is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fernandes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Lyotard wants to get back to his feet.
Fernandes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lyotard tries to get to full guard but Fernandes has control of the leg.
Lyotard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fernandes on the ground.
Fernandes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fernandes prevents Lyotard from improving his position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fernandes has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lyotard defend it? Fernandes steps over the head and cranks it - Lyotard is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fernandes!
