Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Maki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maki has chosen Harvester of Sorrow as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maki moves into range and clinches up with Chang.
Chang can't get the takedown.
Maki scores a nice knee to the body.
Chang is breathing heavily.

Chang gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Chang wants to advance to full mount but Maki doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Chang could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Maki has his feet on Chang's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Maki rushes Chang and presses him up against the cage.

Maki takes the fight into the clinch.

Chang lands a takedown into guard.
Chang looking to sit in guard and control but Maki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Maki wants to get up but he can't break Chang's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Chang is working an open guard so Maki takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Maki rushes Chang and presses him up against the cage.

Maki breaks from the clinch.

Maki takes the fight into the clinch.
Maki lands a good knee to the midsection. Chang won't want to take too many of those.
Chang has Maki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Maki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Chang avoids the elbow strike from Maki, against the cage.

Maki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Maki rushes Chang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Maki jumps guard and drags Chang to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Maki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chang controls the pace.
Chang tries to free his leg and advance position but Maki is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Maki clinches up with Chang and pushes him back against the cage.
Chang drops down looking for an ankle pick but Maki pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Chang. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Maki lands a big head kick that sends Chang tumbling to the mat! Maki takes a step backwards and waves Chang back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Chang is rocked!

It looks like Jim Chang has been cut.
Chang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Oh Chang is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Maki forces Chang back against the cage and clinches.
Chang wants a takedown.
Maki has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Chang - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Maki, and another! Chang is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
