Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Georges Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaxson Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, King of My World. Gray is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Prodigy - Spitfire. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Penn counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gray is looking to clinch.
Penn circles away from the clinch attempt

and Penn counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gray!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gray looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Penn keeps control of the position easily here as Gray tries to buck him off.

Gray tries to bum rush Penn with a series of wild strikes but Penn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here as Penn stalls from top position.

Penn decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gray to his feet.

Penn feints and as Gray raises his hands in defense, Penn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Penn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Penn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gray misses with a hook to the ribs.
Penn landing knees to the head.
Gray trying to land knees to the body.
Penn throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Grays head.

Penn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gray darts in and clinches Penn up against the cage.
Gray can't break the clinch.
Gray works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Gray successfully pulls guard.
Gray keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gray tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Georges Penn wasn't doing enough on the ground.

That was a close round but Georges Penn did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
