Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sub Position! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gracie Jitsu! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Position closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jitsu quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jitsu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Position pulls his head out easily. Jitsu wants to get back to full guard. Jitsu is defending against the submission attempts here by Position.

Position is trying to get an arm triangle but Jitsu is defending well. Position tries to move to mount but Jitsu blocks the move with his legs. Position tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Position has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Position working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jitsu stops Position from passing to mount. Jitsu sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Position is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jitsu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Position. Position is looking for a kimura here.

Position passes Jitsu's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jitsu is looking to control Position's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jitsu avoid being mounted? Jitsu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jitsu trying to control from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jitsu looking for submissions off his back. Position is thwarting Jitsu's attempts to control the position. Position is looking for a kimura but Jitsu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Position to get the leverage. Jitsu is looking to control Position's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jitsu avoid being mounted? Position is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jitsu wants to control but Position postures up. Jitsu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jitsu wants to control but Position is keeping busy and won't allow it. Position looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That was a close round but I would say that Sub Position will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gracie Jitsu. Position scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jitsu tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Position easily slips into full mount! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jitsu really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jitsu is just holding on here. Position manages to take his back.
Position is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Jitsu won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Position off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sub Position! Sub Position got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
