PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Brannovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blue Sky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brannovic has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Blue Sky told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sky shoots in looking for a takedown. Brannovic tries to sprawl out of it but Sky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brannovic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Brannovic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sky manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sky is trying to control the position but Brannovic postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sky throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brannovic's waist but Brannovic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sky off to one side.

Sky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brannovic but Brannovic pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sky has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Brannovic doesn't defend quickly enough and Sky has managed to lock this one up! Can Brannovic escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sky on a fantastic submission victory.
