Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tokugawa Hattori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Shinsato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinsato comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Yoshi Story kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokugawa Hattori! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Shinsato! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shinsato throws a series of punches but Hattori moves out of range. Hattori throws a series of strikes that have Shinsato backpedaling.
Shinsato will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hattori tries to sprawl but Shinsato drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Well, if Shinsato is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Shinsato shoots in for a double leg but Hattori sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Shinsato misses with a takedown and Hattori counters with a one-two to the body. Shinsato avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hattori closes the distance and clinches up with Shinsato, looking for a takedown. Hattori pushes Shinsato against the ropes but Shinsato circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Shinsato shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hattori pinned against the ropes. Hattori gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hattori misses with a few strikes there.
Shinsato shoots in but no luck this time. Shinsato swings for the body but Hattori moves out of range.

Hattori fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Shinsato misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hattori fails to land the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Akira Shinsato will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shinsato takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shinsato lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hattori on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Shinsato is controlling the pace.

Shinsato is trying to control the action in half guard but Hattori is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Shinsato slows the pace down in half guard.

Hattori shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shinsato but Shinsato pushes him off and we're back to square one. Shinsato falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hattori counters with a three punch combo that has Shinsato backing up. Shinsato nods at Hattori to acknowledge the strikes. Akira Shinsato is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hattori shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shinsato counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Akira Shinsato comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Shinsato winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
