Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akekae Pokaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Superman Theme Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Kent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Akekae Pokaku! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kent checks a low kick from Pokaku. Kent swats away the attempt to clinch by Pokaku. A swing and a miss from Kent. Pokaku swings for the body but Kent moves out of range.
A cross from Pokaku lands. Kent checks a leg kick nicely. Pokaku clinches up with Kent and pushes him back against the cage. Kent makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Kent throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Pokaku misses with a punch to the body.
Pokaku scores with a nice hook to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pokaku is defending well against a takedown attempt. Kent works on Pokaku's body with a couple of short punches. Pokaku is pressed up against the cage. Kent has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pokaku down to the mat. Pokaku avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Pokaku looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Kent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pokaku was well out of range. Poor timing from Kent. Kent lands a really nice looking cross but Pokaku seems unphased.

Pokaku fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Pokaku throws a hook but Kent blocks it. Kent slips under a jab from Pokaku. Kent's corner calls for a 1-2. Kent obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Kent takes a swing at Pokaku's ribcage but misses. Kent moves out of range of the strikes. Pokaku tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kent paws at him with a jab and circles away. Some bone on bone action there as Kent checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kent misses the shot to the body. Kent keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Kent slips under a jab from Pokaku. Kent shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pokaku napping and manages to drive through into side control! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kent is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pokaku knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kent goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pokaku has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kent but great work by Pokaku.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kent is trying to control Pokaku's posture but Pokaku avoids it. Pokaku scoring with punches from side control. Pokaku working the ground and pound from side control. Kent regains half guard. Kent with the active half guard here but Pokaku passes nicely into side control. Pokaku lands a nice forearm strike. Kent is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kent won't allow Pokaku to pass to mount. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pokaku connects with a nice short shot to Kent's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pokaku seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Kent has recovered full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pokaku missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kent tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kent looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kent has gone for a leg lock! Pokaku slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kent's guard. Kent had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pokaku defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pokaku got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kent has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pokaku has managed to get both his arms back between Kent's legs - danger averted. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pokaku is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Pokaku is looking to stand up but Kent won't let him. Kent manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Clark Kent will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A jab from Kent misses. Pokaku shoots in for a double leg but Kent sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kent throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kent throws the left hand but Pokaku avoids the punch easily. Pokaku moves out of range of the strikes. Kent chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pokaku can pounce on him.
A jab from Kent misses. A big left from Kent misses. Pokaku ducks under a wild hook from Kent. Kent waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pokaku. A big left from Kent misses. A big right from Kent misses. A punch combination from Pokaku misses. Kent misses the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent loads up on a big right hand but Pokaku slips the punch. A combination from Kent does no damage. Pokaku jabs Kent right on the nose. Kent blinks but takes it well. Kent misses with a hook. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pokaku. A looping hook to the body misses from Kent. Pokaku does a little dance to reset his feet. Kent throws a shot from downtown. Pokaku moves away and avoids it. A big right from Kent misses. Kent throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pokaku looks to score with a jab to the body but Kent is just out of range. Kent with a nice cross. Kent pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kent bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pokaku's head. Pokaku connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kent shoots in for a takedown but Pokaku shows good takedown defense. A telegraphed right hand from Kent misses the target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kent closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pokaku tries to improve position but can't. Pokaku is trying to control Kent's posture but Kent avoids it. Kent tries to advance to mount but can't. Pokaku is trying to control Kent's posture but Kent avoids it. Kent is trying to move to mount but Pokaku reverses beautifully and ends up in Kent's guard. Pokaku must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pokaku trying to control but Kent is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kent lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pokaku! Kent fails to move to back control. Kent goes for an armbar but Pokaku turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pokaku. Pokaku stands up over Kent, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kent has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pokaku can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pokaku trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kent throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pokaku gets to his feet - Kent follows without any prompting. Good shot there by Kent. Pokaku looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pokaku cracks Kent with a good jab. Kent checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Pokaku changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Pokaku shoots in for a takedown but Kent shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kent's corner calls for a 1-2. Kent obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kent moves out of range of the leg kick from Pokaku. Kent shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pokaku sprawls well. Pokaku wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kent gets slowly back to his feet. An inside leg kick from Pokaku misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Clark Kent will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Pokaku throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A swing and a miss from Kent. Pokaku punishes Kent's body with a nice straight punch. Kent throws a looping overhand right but Pokaku ducks down to avoid it. Akekae Pokaku seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kent with a nice cross. Pokaku misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kent throws a hook to the side of Pokaku's head but Pokaku sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kent thows a left - swing and a miss! Pokaku fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kent has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kent misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pokaku.
Kent takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Pokaku stops Kent from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Kent swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pokaku is now in Kent's guard. A big mistake from Kent there, giving up the dominant position! Kent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pokaku doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pokaku manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pokaku throwing strikes from guard but Kent blocks nicely. Akekae Pokaku has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Clark Kent is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kent is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pokaku tries to free his leg and advance position but Kent is retaining full guard. Pokaku avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kent wants to sweep but no luck. Pokaku is in close to Kent's body, working some short punches and elbows. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pokaku passes Kent's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kent moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kent working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pokaku gets to his feet. Kent looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kent misses with a right hand and Pokaku counters with a takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pokaku lands a decent elbow from side control. Pokaku tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Kent sneaks back into half guard. Kent moves into full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kent wants to sweep but no luck. Akekae Pokaku has got the better of the ground game so far. Pokaku distracts Kent with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pokaku throwing strikes from guard but Kent blocks nicely. Kent tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kent not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kent looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pokaku is one step ahead there. Kent wants to improve his position but instead Pokaku has moved into half guard.
Pokaku is nestled in close to Kent, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Pokaku wants to stand up but Kent is controlling the position.
Pokaku decides to stand and escape the position. Pokaku goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pokaku swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kent connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kent with a body punch. A glancing blow.
And that's the end of the fight! Akekae Pokaku comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kent has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
