Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piki Hoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Vanhorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanhorn has chosen Cult of Personality as his entrance music. Lex Vanhorn has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Piki Hoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lex Vanhorn!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Hoki. No joy for Vanhorn on that attempt.
Vanhorn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hoki sprawls well. Hoki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vanhorn gets slowly back to his feet.
Hoki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vanhorn.
Hoki tries to close the distance and clinch but Vanhorn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A jab from Vanhorn does it's job there.
Vanhorn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Piki Hoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lex Vanhorn.
Vanhorn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hoki sprawls well. Hoki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vanhorn gets slowly back to his feet.
Hoki throws a head kick but Vanhorn moves out of range.

Vanhorn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
You can see the frustration on Hoki's face as Vanhorn controls the position.
It looks like Vanhorn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Hoki is trying to control Vanhorn's posture but Vanhorn avoids it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Vanhorn stands up.
Vanhorn throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Hoki colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Vanhorn as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Hoki is left battered and dazed whilst Vanhorn and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lex Vanhorn!
Our winner, Lex Vanhorn, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
