Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mielikki Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mielikki Frost has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mielikki Frost seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frost has managed to clinch.
Filho blocking some punches.

Frost pulls guard.
Frost is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frost is working hard here to advance position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Andre Filho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Filho tries to land a front kick but Frost steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Filho should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Frost rushes Filho and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Frost manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Filho tries to stand but Frost is controlling from the bottom.

Frost manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Frost is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Filho has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Filho!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Frost is controlling Filho's posture.
Frost trying to keep a closed guard but Filho is proving a slippery customer.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Filho throws a body kick that misses.
Filho throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Frost shoots in and bounces Filho off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Frost is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Frost has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Filho wants to stand but Frost is controlling the position.

Frost seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Frost is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Filho is looking to stand up but Frost isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Filho can't keep his opponent in guard - Frost advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Frost is taking a breather. Filho says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Frost has Filho up against the cage in a clinch.

Frost turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Frost manages to end up in side control.
Frost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Filho keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Mielikki Frost just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Frost closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Frost gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Frost perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Frost seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Nice strikes from Frost there.

Frost tries to pass the half guard into mount. Filho knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Frost in particular looking to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Frost with the ground and pound but Filho uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Frost trying to control but Filho is working from the bottom.
Frost looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Frost seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Filho for as long as he can get away with.
