Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Titus Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burgundy has chosen Die With Your Boots On as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ron Burgundy!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clay shoots in and bounces Burgundy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Clay trying to control the position from guard on top but Burgundy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Clay might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Clay is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Clay wants to stand but Burgundy is controlling his posture from full guard.
Burgundy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Burgundy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burgundy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clay.
Burgundy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burgundy lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Burgundy.
Burgundy looks gassed!
Burgundy fails to land with a series of punches.

Burgundy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Clay to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Burgundy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Clay is controlling him.
Clay is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Burgundy can't keep his opponent in guard - Clay advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Clay swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Burgundy lands a jab.
Clay takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Clay moves in looking to clinch but Burgundy pushes him off.
Burgundy throws the kick towards the body but Clay avoids it.
Burgundy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Clay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burgundy manages to avoid it.
Clay avoids the head kick by Burgundy.
A right-left combo lands from Burgundy.


It looks like Titus Clay has been cut.

Clay clinches.

Burgundy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Clay shoots in and drives through. Burgundy sprawls well.
Burgundy throws a head kick that misses.
Clay closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burgundy circles away.

Burgundy scores with a nice strike.

Ron Burgundy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Burgundy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Clay dives in and grabs Burgundy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Burgundy pushes down on Clay's head and hops out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Clay closes the distance looking for a takedown. Clay picks Burgundy up and slams him brutally to the floor. Burgundy is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!

Titus Clay tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
