Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Wheaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt comes to the cage accompanied by Let the Gods Decide. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Hunt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean Wheaton! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wheaton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hunt shoots for a double leg takedown but Wheaton sprawls well. He's pushed Hunt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hunt on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Wheaton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hunt's hands. Wheaton throws out a loose jab but Hunt uses good head movement to avoid it. Wheaton scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. No luck for Hunt with that takedown attempt. Wheaton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hunt takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wheaton takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Hunt closes the distance and pushes Wheaton back into the cage. Hunt misses with a knee strike.
Hunt is trying to pull guard but Wheaton turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Hunt. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hunt fails to pull guard.

Hunt throws a right and a left that Wheaton avoids nicely. Hunt with a lazy takedown attempt and Wheaton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hunt's guard now. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hunt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wheaton is one step ahead there. Wheaton slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Wheaton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hunt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hunt working for a triangle but Wheaton defends it easily.
Hunt being controlled here, momentarily. Wheaton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hunt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sean Wheaton. Wheaton avoids the head kick by Hunt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunt needs to keep his hands up - Wheaton had a free shot at his head there. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hunt enables Wheaton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hunt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wheaton is stalling in the full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hunt looking for a sweep. Not yet Hunt, not yet. Wheaton postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Wheaton landing some decent shots from guard. Hunt looking for a sweep. Not yet Hunt, not yet. Wheaton scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Wheaton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wheaton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hunt wants to sweep here but Wheaton controlling him for the moment. Wheaton is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hunt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wheaton is one step ahead there.

Wheaton darts in and clinches Hunt up against the cage. Wheaton takes a knee right on the jaw!
Hunt jumps guard but Wheaton stands there with Hunt around his waist. Hunt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hunt fails to land the takedown. Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunt is breathing heavily. Hunt tries to close the distance and clinch but Wheaton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hunt shoots in for a double leg but Wheaton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Wheaton lands with a cross. Wheaton lands a slapping body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wheaton tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hunt is able to avoid easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wheaton misses with a low kick.

A punch lands to the side of Hunt 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wheaton has closed the distance and engaged Hunt in a clinch.
Hunt is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wheaton to keep the fight standing. Wheaton tries to break free but Hunt pushes him back against the cage. Hunt tries a knee to the head but Wheaton blocks it.
Hunt keeps control of Wheaton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hunt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wheaton just stands there and leans against the cage. Wheaton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Hunt missing with knees to the body.
Wheaton has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hunt regains guard immediately. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wheaton sitting in guard here, content to control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Wheaton dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wheaton lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Sean Wheaton seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hunt keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Hunt decides to pull guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hunt keeping moving, preventing Wheaton from controlling successfully. Wheaton gets to his feet - Hunt follows without any prompting.

Wheaton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hunt to the mat! Hunt manages to get full guard. Wheaton is stalling in the full guard. Wheaton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hunt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wheaton has managed to get both his arms back between Hunt's legs - danger averted. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hunt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wheaton defends it easily. Wheaton scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Wheaton works a leg free and moves into half guard. Hunt looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wheaton landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wheaton in particular looking to stall. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wheaton working the head and body with strikes. Hunt actively working from the bottom here. Wheaton content to control rather than advance. Wheaton scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wheaton working the head and body with strikes. Wheaton stands up and beckons Hunt to join him on the feet. Wheaton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hunt napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hunt is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunt seems a little lost for a moment, as Wheaton dominates the positioning. Wheaton in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Wheaton lands a nice forearm strike. Hunt trying to remain calm as Wheaton controls from the top position. Sean Wheaton has got the better of the ground game so far. Wheaton working the body and head with strikes. Wheaton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hunt to his feet. Wheaton throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Wheaton keeps the fight on the outside. Wheaton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hunt is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wheaton off and has taken his back! Wheaton holding both Hunt 's hands and preventing any damage. Wheaton defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hunt's arms.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wheaton is trying to shake Hunt off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Hunt won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Wheaton scores a takedown into full mount! Wheaton with good strikes from the mount here! Hunt is bucking up trying to escape but Wheaton cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Hunt is rocked! Wheaton raining down hammerfists from mount. Oh Hunt is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hunt is in all sorts of trouble here.
Wheaton dominating with strikes here. A big strike lands for Wheaton! That's really hurt Hunt and he's turned his back - Wheaton keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Wheaton jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
