The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glorenzo misses with a wild body shot.
Glorenzo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tasaki was well out of range. Poor timing from Glorenzo.
Glorenzo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tasaki moves away.
Tasaki moves forwards but Glorenzo connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Tasaki ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Tasaki tests Glorenzo's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Tasaki manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Glorenzo on his heels. He'll look to pass Glorenzo's guard now, I'm sure.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Glorenzo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tasaki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tasaki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Glorenzo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Glorenzo has escaped and now he's on top!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
