Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilsooooon James Da Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Nir!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James Da Silva looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

James Da Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nir defends it well.
James Da Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nir does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
James Da Silva is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nir is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
James Da Silva is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Nir tries to roll over but James Da Silva keeps him under control.

James Da Silva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nir has managed to free his arm - good work.
James Da Silva prevents Nir from improving his position.

James Da Silva trying to control the action but Nir is working from the bottom.
James Da Silva works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James Da Silva controlling the pace for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
James Da Silva is working for a guillotine from mount but Nir frees his head quite easily.

Nir is trying to escape the mount.

James Da Silva goes for an armbar but Nir turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Nir.

James Da Silva looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Nir trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

James Da Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nir is aware though and is defending well.

James Da Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nir must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Nir wants to control from the top but James Da Silva keeps moving.

Nir got a little sloppy there for a moment and James Da Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nir has managed to get both his arms back between James Da Silva's legs - danger averted.
Nir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James Da Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nir slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

James Da Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nir defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nir got a little sloppy there for a moment and James Da Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nir has managed to get both his arms back between James Da Silva's legs - danger averted.

James Da Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nir defends it easily.
Nir passes James Da Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
James Da Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilsooooon James Da Silva dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nir moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Nir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches James Da Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Nir tries to advance to mount but James Da Silva denies him.
James Da Silva is trying to control Nir's posture but Nir avoids it.
James Da Silva tries to improve position but can't.
James Da Silva manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
James Da Silva wants to control but Nir is keeping busy.

Nir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so James Da Silva is just riding it out for now. Nir eventually gives up the hold.

That's one minute gone in the round.

James Da Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nir pulls his head out easily.

James Da Silva has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Nir. Oh but James Da Silva has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Nir goes limp - he's gone! James Da Silva jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Wilsooooon James Da Silva!
