Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Silky Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Lunatic Fringe. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Silky Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Liddell! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A lull in the action here. Johnson is putting a hurting on Liddell here, landing some big shots from side control.
It looks like Dan Liddell has been cut. Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Liddell has escaped the position, nice work there. Liddell tries to escape but Johnson is in control. Johnson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Liddell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Johnson trying to control the position but Liddell is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Liddell sneaks back into half guard. Liddell wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johnson passes the guard and advances to mount! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Liddell can do anything to dispel that myth. Johnson punching from mount but Liddell doing a good job of avoiding damage. Liddell trying desperately to get to his feet.

Johnson trying to control but Liddell is having none of it. Johnson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Liddell fails in his attempt to clinch. Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddell pinned against the cage. Liddell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Johnson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Liddell to score with a decent uppercut. Liddell tries to clinch up and Johnson counters with a thumping low kick. Johnson is breathing heavily. Liddell moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Johnson throws a lazy uppercut
and Liddell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Liddell slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.
Liddell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Johnson tries to clinch up but Liddell circles away and keeps his distance. Liddell ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Johnson. Johnson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Liddell throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnson takes a swing at Liddell's ribcage but misses. Liddell moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off. Liddell closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side and Johnson counters with a takedown into side control. Liddell is trying to improve his position. Liddell is trying to get back to his feet. Liddell is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Liddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Johnson stands up and we're back to a striking position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Silky Johnson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dan Liddell's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Liddell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Liddell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away. Liddell closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Johnson is trying to work for a kimura but Liddell is defending well.
Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Johnson passes to full mount! Silky Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Liddell wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Liddell is squirming around, avoiding Johnson's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson working for a submission but Liddell is keeping him at bay. Johnson looking to control but Liddell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Johnson prevents Liddell from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Liddell defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Johnson. Johnson looking to control but Liddell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Liddell is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson looking to secure an arm triangle but Liddell defends it well. Johnson looking for a guillotine from mount but Liddell is having none of it. Johnson punching from mount but Liddell doing a good job of avoiding damage. Liddell is trying desperately to improve position. Johnson misses with a head shot. Liddell tries to hold on but Johnson postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johnson has hold of Liddell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Liddell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Johnson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Silky Johnson dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Dan Liddell's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side. Johnson misses with a double jab
and Liddell counters with a lovely shot to the body. Liddell throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head. Silky Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Johnson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Johnson takes a swing at Liddell's ribcage but misses. Liddell looks to clinch and Johnson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Johnson. Johnson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Liddell dives on top into guard. Johnson keeping full guard, as Liddell tries to pass. Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Johnson pushes Liddell off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Liddell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Nice takedown defense from Liddell. No joy for Johnson on that attempt. Johnson shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Silky Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson fails to land the takedown. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side. Dan Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Liddell lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

and Liddell counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Johnson works his way to full guard. Good work. Liddell wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Johnson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Liddell!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson content just to control the position here. Johnson looking to control but Liddell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Johnson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Liddell is surviving well by controlling Johnson's body position as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Liddell covering up well under a series of strikes from Johnson. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Johnson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Dan Liddell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Liddell covering up well under a barage of strikes. Johnson lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. A lull in the action here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson has Liddell flattened out and is raining down punches. Johnson wants to control but Liddell is keeping busy. You can see the frustration on Liddell's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Liddell is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Johnson is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Liddell. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Johnson throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Silky Johnson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
