Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leopold Stotch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poncho Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stotch's entrance music is What what, in the butt.. A fine choice. Villa has chosen In One Ear as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leopold Stotch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Poncho Villa!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villa misses with a looping right.

Villa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stotch looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Villa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stotch has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Stotch's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stotch is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stotch gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Villa stalling away here and it's allowed Stotch to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Stotch working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Villa.

Stotch is trying to control the position but Villa postures up.
Stotch keeping full guard, as Villa tries to pass.
Villa stopping the sweep attempt from Stotch.
Villa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Villa wants to pass the guard but Stotch is keeping the position.
Stotch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Villa wants to control from the top but Stotch keeps moving.
Villa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Stotch is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Villa is aware though and is defending well.

Villa stays in close to Stotch's body and controls the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Poncho Villa wasn't active enough on the ground.
Villa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Stotch pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Stotch tests Villa's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Stotch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Villa circles away quickly and effectively.
Villa swings for the body but Stotch moves out of range.
Stotch keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stotch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stotch connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Stotch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Villa manages to avoid it.
Villa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Villa chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Villa keeps the fight on the outside.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
A head kick misses from Stotch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Villa checks a leg kick.
Stotch waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Villa.
Stotch keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Villa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Villa lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stotch is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stotch tries to land a sweep but no joy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Villa trying to control the position from guard on top but Stotch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Poncho Villa dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Villa moves out of range as Stotch strikes.
Stotch swings for the body but Villa moves out of range.
Stotch takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Stotch throws a left and a right that both miss
and Villa counters with a nice leg kick.
Villa lands a nice looking body shot.
Leopold Stotch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Villa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stotch.
Stotch misses with a head kick.

Villa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Stotch!
Villa thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Villa tries to control but Stotch wriggling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Villa moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Stotch has worked his arm free - good work by Stotch!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Villa is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Stotch is trying to escape and Villa transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Stotch is forced to tap! Nice work there by Villa! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Poncho Villa!
After winning the bout, Poncho Villa thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
