Dicks closes the distance looking to clinch

and Walters counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Walters.

Dicks gets caught flat footed, as Walters shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dicks is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walters is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Johnny Walters hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dicks wanted to stand there but Walters had control of the position.
