The bell rings for round one and we are underway! KAlEImalUlAnI tries to sprawl but Lebeng drives through with a takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lebeng is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lebeng seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but KAlEImalUlAnI does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lebeng keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lebeng is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so KAlEImalUlAnI is just riding it out for now. Lebeng eventually gives up the hold. Lebeng is working for a submission of some sort.
