Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Daniels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Double Rainbow! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rainbow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Daniels sprawls well initially but Rainbow persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Daniels looking for submissions off his back. Daniels is defending against the submission attempts here by Rainbow.
Rainbow is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Daniels has managed to free his arm - good work. Rainbow is looking for a kimura here.
Daniels is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rainbow is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Rainbow is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rainbow looking for a submission but Daniels manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Daniels is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rainbow has one foot on Daniels's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels throws a predictable looking body shot
and Rainbow counters with a straight right hand. Rainbow throws a series of punches but Daniels avoids them all with ease. Rainbow misses with a hook. Daniels ducked under it nicely. Rainbow goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Daniels scores with a sloppy right hand. Rainbow should have avoided that one. Rainbow showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Daniels.
Rainbow misses with the combination.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Rainbow. Daniels tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rainbow wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daniels is working hard here to advance position. Rainbow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rainbow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Daniels wants to control but Rainbow postures up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rainbow in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Daniels is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
