Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mavlet Batirov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barbosa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Soulfly - Rise Of The Fallen . The crowd seem to be enjoying Batirov's choice of entrance music: Louna-Armageddon. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Barbosa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Batirov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barbosa circles away.
Batirov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A lazy left from Barbosa finds it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barbosa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Barbosa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Batirov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barbosa as he avoids it easily.

Batirov walks straight into a right hand from Barbosa - that's dropped him! Barbosa jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Batirov from any more punishment! Batirov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
