Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Kerrr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fred Patterson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marc Kerrr! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patterson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kerrr wants to get back to his feet but Patterson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Patterson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kerrr is keeping the position for now. Kerrr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Patterson's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kerrr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Patterson is keeping the position for now. Patterson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kerrr scoring with punches to the head and body. Patterson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kerrr is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Patterson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kerrr's back instead. Kerrr defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Patterson's arms.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patterson working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Kerrr looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Kerrr tries to escape but Patterson has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Patterson doesn't have the hooks in and Kerrr manages to turn into his guard.
Kerrr has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Patterson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kerrr is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Patterson pulls down on the head and he's put Kerrr to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Fred Patterson! Fred Patterson retains his heavyweight title!
