Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Shickawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wade Winston Wilson! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shickawa throws a nice looking combination but Wilson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A combination from Shickawa does no damage. Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch but Shickawa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Shickawa misses with a double jab
and Wilson counters with a nice leg kick. Wilson is looking to slow Shickawa down with leg kicks. Wilson throws a head kick that misses. A jab from Shickawa misses. Shickawa misses with the combination.
Wilson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wilson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shickawa throws a looping overhand right but Wilson ducks down to avoid it. Wade Winston Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shickawa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shickawa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wilson rushes Shickawa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wilson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Shickawa's face.
Shickawa is looking to break free of the clinch but Wilson has double underhooks. Wilson can't find room to land a body shot as Shickawa controls the action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wilson has Shickawa pressed against the cage, preventing Shickawa from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Shickawa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Wilson landing knees to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Shickawa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Wilson wants to clinch up but Shickawa keeps it at a distance. Wilson pushes Shickawa up against the cage in a clinch. Shickawa has had enough of the clinch but Wilson keeps him there for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wilson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

This has been an exciting period of action! Wilson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Wilson is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wade Winston Wilson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Paul Shickawa's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Shickawa is rocked! Wade Winston Wilson seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Wilson working the clinch nicely. Shickawa is working for position but Wilson cracks him with a big knee to the head! Shickawa crumples up against the cage and Wilson lands two more shots before the ref can save Shickawa! This one is all over!
