Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cal Worsham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Raith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Raith is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cal Worsham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thomas Raith!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raith is looking to clinch.

Worsham closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Raith can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Worsham working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Worsham trying to control the position but Raith is working away.
Raith parries the strikes from Worsham easily there. Worsham is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Raith to escape.

Raith wants to control but Worsham is keeping busy.
Raith is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Worsham is staying active.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Worsham looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Worsham is stalling here. Raith is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Worsham seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Raith has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Worsham is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The ground and pound from Raith seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Worsham tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Raith wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Raith postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Worsham looks a forlorn figure.

Raith is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Worsham can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Worsham on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Worsham tries to get out of the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Raith trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Raith shoots for a takedown but Worsham saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Thomas Raith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Raith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Worsham's waist but Worsham gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Raith off to one side.
Raith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Raith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Raith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Raith is looking for a kimura but Worsham is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Raith to get the leverage.
Raith is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Worsham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Raith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Raith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Worsham swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Worsham is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Raith's half guard.
Raith is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Worsham's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Worsham's back!

Raith is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Worsham to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Worsham shrugs it off.

Worsham is trying to reverse the position but instead Raith has taken his back - oops!

Raith has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Worsham has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Raith is trying to stick to Worsham's back but Worsham is turning into Raith. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Raith's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Worsham.
Raith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Worsham sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Raith's guard.
Thomas Raith is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Thomas Raith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Raith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
