Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ilia Kosarev!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Prince shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kosarev's guard.
Kosarev looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Prince content to stall in guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Prince gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Prince clinches up with Kosarev and pushes him back against the cage.

Kosarev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Prince tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kosarev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kosarev wants it to stay on the feet.

Prince manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Prince is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Prince thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Prince drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Prince jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kosarev preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Prince gets to his feet - Kosarev follows without any prompting.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Prince.
Prince throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Prince tries a head kick but it misses.

Prince takes the fight into the clinch.
Prince drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Prince gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Prince looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Prince decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Prince shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kosarev eats them both and turns towards Prince to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Prince closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kosarev to the mat! Kosarev manages to get full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

We're going to have a standup here because Tayshaun Prince wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Kosarev gets caught napping as Prince dives in and scores a takedown. Kosarev manages to retain guard.
